The owner of 555 Cherry had an age-related memory condition, which meant Jenny worked closely with her son, the trustee of the estate and power of attorney. Jenny collaborated with the title company to validate the power of attorney to obtain signed acceptances from other beneficiaries. Ensuring that title would insure the transfer was the first important step.

The owner had a large collection of antiques and collectibles that needed to be cleared out. Jenny interviewed and vetted estate sale companies, finding a highly recommended company that created a “store” feeling within the home. The company spent weeks getting the home ready for the sale and held two weekends of estate sales, including an online component. The sale grossed $17,000.

After setting a budget, Jenny took the lead in determining which projects would bring the biggest return on investment, then vetted and managed contractors and the timeline. Jenny brought in a crew of vendors to work on hauling, landscaping, plumbing, lighting, electrical, carpentry, counter installation, flooring, painting, staging, and photography.
